This long sandy beach is located at the eastern end of Red Wharf Bay and it is great for bathing, paddling, beach combing and walking. Whilst it offers basic amenities including toilets and beach café, most visitors travel to the nearby village of Llanddona or Beaumaris for a wider choice of amusements. Llanddona is perhaps most famous for its tales of witchcraft, and 'the witches of Llanddona' are well-known. Historically, these ship-wrecked foreigners settled on common land along the sea shore, and were feared among the local community
